Listen to The Camaraderie Quintet playing Air On a G String by J.S. Bach
Camaraderie – the warm friendship that comrades feel for one another.
Webster’s New World Dictionary
Working together on chamber music brings diverse personalities together. We come from different backgrounds and yet we meld together in our common pursuit of music. We are musical comrades. We are the Camaraderie Quintet.
The Camaraderie Quintet originally met for the first time in 1979. We rehearsed in our infancy at the home of Paul Copeland, now deceased. Christine Carr and I, Karen Dunbar Bucio, are the remaining members from that time.
The Camaraderie Quintet is a quintet made up of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn. There is a large selection of music composed for this instrumentation. We play classical, pop, whimsical, and other light hearted music. This group is good for wedding ceremonies and also for concerts and background music.
